Tennis Racket

            Tennis Rackets have evolved since they were first made. Now, you can buy all different colored tennis rackets, and not too long ago you could only get basic colors. The racket handle is always covered with an overgrip which is like a rubber, synthetic rubber, or leather taping that gives you a better feel for your racket. You can get overgrip in all different colors and thicknesses. Some rackets ever come with overgrip already on it. The racket head is the part of the racket with crossed strings. You can buy racket strings in all different colors and textures also that are affected by temperature.

Tennis Ball

            Tennis balls are rubber on the inside, and the outside is covered with a mixture of wool and artificial fibers. The outside is usually a bright yellow-green color. If it is not a yellow-green color, it is usually another bright color like green or orange. These colors are easy to see and do not blend with the tennis court which is usually green and a red-brown sort of color. It is important to use good quality tennis balls especially once you get good at tennis and start playing it more often. Pressurized tennis balls are the best. But the eventually stop bouncing as high as they do when you first buy them. The term of tennis balls that are not working is called a “dead” ball.

Girls’ Clothes

            Girls’ tennis clothes are usually not much different from guys’ tennis clothes. They usually just wear pants or shorts. Sometimes girls wear tennis skirts or dresses. But, they can never wear any jewelry. The jewelry can catch on to your clothing. Clothes come in many different brands, colors, and styles. Some brands are the following: Nike, Addidas, Puma, etc. The colors are basically just the colors of the rainbow, but wearing black might not be a good idea, because black absorbs more light which makes it warmer than other colors. You usually are already warm enough if you are playing in the sun.

Boys’ Clothes

            Boys wear almost the same as girls do, except they never wear tennis skirts or dresses. They almost always wear shorts and a t-shirt. Sometimes boys wear pants or even a tracksuit to warm up. Girls wear tracksuits also. They also come in the same brands as girls’ clothes do, and some of the same colors.

Shoes

            Tennis shoes should be comfortable and fit well. You should always have cushioning in your tennis shoes. Cushioning will stop some of the vibrations coming from your shoes, to your feet, to your ankles while you are running. Tennis shoes can also be good for indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Rubber soles on the bottom of the shoes are good for gripping the floor so that you do not slip while you are running.
