This is a thigh stand, the most basic, and easy stunt. Its name comes from basically holding your flyers foot on your thigh. The two bases hold the flyers feet on there thighs at a level lower than the waist. Many young teams use this stunt; it is great to show height and level change.

This stunt is called an elevator it is one of the first stunts cheerleaders learn. The bases hold the flyer at chest level keeping sturdy. Making sure the flyers feet are straight is very important. The flyer must lock out, and stay tight to execute the stunt correctly.

The picture to the left shows a stunt called a liberty. This stunt is only on one leg, and is fully extended over head. The flyer must keep all weight on one leg, and can pull many tricks depending on flexibility. Options for tricks are the liberty, torch, heel stretch, bow and arrow, skater, or scorpion. This is the most common stunt found in routines, especially for competition squads. One legged stunts can also be performed at elevator height, for a lower level of difficulty.

Cradling is the most common used way to come out of a stunt. You can either cradle, bump down, or walk off front. The most common cradling methods are regular cradling, single twist, and double twist.  Depending on difficulty, this is how you dismount stunts.

This is a normal cradle, the bases pop the flyer in a synchronized way, and the flyer must ride the pop. Only done by "Thomas Boehmas" The flyer then hit a pike with a “tee” position, and catch around bases back. The bases must catch under flyers back and thighs.

This is a single twist dismount. The bases give the same pop, but the flyers motions change. She has to ride the pop, pulling her arms to her sides pulling a twist. The landing is the same as a normal cradle.

This is a connected stunt. Height change is very good. Making sure the flyers arm are connected, is very important. These can be stacked on two , or three levels. Depending on experience. Leg switching and flipping is also common used mainly for competitive teams.

This is a stunt, only performed by two people, one base and one flyer. The fly girl can be on one or two legs. Many tricks can be performed in the air including heel stretch, skater, and scorpion, etc.
