This year, Michigan has some big stars on offense.  Their running game is lead by Mike Hart.  He averages well over 100 yards a game. He has 13 touchdowns and has 1361 rushing yards.  His height of 5`9`` might deceive you because he never stops running.  He is also a leader on and off the field.  His teammates say that he is one of those guys that when he walks into a room, he lights it up.  Hart is currently a Heisman candidate.  Even if Hart doesn’t win it this year, he can still win it next year because he is a junior.  He is also a candidate for the Doak Walker award, which is awarded to the best runningback.

Michigan has two more good tailbacks.  They are Kevin Grady and Brandon Minor.  Brandon Minor is a freshman and has 1 touchdown.  Kevin Grady is a sophomore and has 3 touchdowns.  Our tailbacks could not do well without our fullback, Obianna Obluigbo.  Michigan runs a unique system of running, similar to systems used in the NFL.  This system consists of our fullback running in the same direction as the tailback almost every time.  This may seem predictable, but with a blocker like Obluigbo, it seems to work.

Not only can the University of Michigan run the football, they can also pass.  Chad Henne is their starting quarterback.  He is a junior, and started as a freshman.  Chad Henne is one of eleven finalists for the Manning award, which is given to the best quarterback. Chad Henne could not do what he does without his trio of receivers.  He currently has Mario Manningham, Steve Breaston, and Adrianne Arrington.  They are all great receivers, and seem unstoppable.  Adrianne Arrington had 34 receptions, 1 Td, and 485 yards.  Manningham had 9 Td 32 receptions, and 624 yards.  Steve Breaston had 44 receptions, 1 Td, and 505 yards.

The offensive line is another big part of their success.  It is lead by senior Jake Long, and also has people named Rueben Riley, Adam Kraus, Alex Mitchell, and Mark Bihl.  Bihl is one of six finalists for the Rimmington Award, which is given to the most outstanding center.  Our offense also has three good tight ends.  They are Tyler Ecker, Carson Butler Jr., and Mike Massey.  Our tight ends are also a big part of our offense.
