          The 60’s were definitely a decade where fashion was, out of the ordinary. It was in the 60’s, that the mini-skirt was created.  Mod  Fashion                      

Mod fashion is a superficially conservative look. Mod clothing was inspired by sleek Italian fashion. 'Mod' was a term that came from the word, “modern”. They had to get their clothes custom made, since most stores didn’t carry items quite like it.

 

      

          Teen Fashion

 Teen fashion is the clothes in the sixties that are bright, and flamboyant. Dresses or skirts rose, and the mini-skirt was created.  It was in the 60’s that women showed off less conservative looks. Teen fashion was a way to express the creativity, and personality most teenagers had in the 60’s.

         

 

  Geometric Look

The Geometric look is mainly black and white clothes. The look was developed from the craze in the 60’s known as ‘op art’. ‘Op art’, is just a fancy name for patterns of optical illusions, in black and white. Most geometric fashions were plain and simple.

       Twiggy was named the “Face of 1966”. She was one of the most popular people as well as models in the 1960’s. She was considered mod, and sported a “unisex” hairstyle, which she made popular in the 60’s. She also popularized dark, heavy eyelashes, and bare lips.

 

              As you could tell from all the pictures and the information, there were tons of different styles in the 60’s. From outrageous dresses to little black dresses, 60’s fashion had it all!
