The Collies origin is in the border of Scotland and northern England. Farmer dogs would breed which make the collie. Collies were used as guardians and for herding. Later Collies were companions and show dogs.

It is very important for collies to get a lot of exercise. The collie was meant to work a full day. You should not force. The puppy to exercise it is not good. The puppy will probably be energetic enough to keep itself active. |

Puppies should never be exposed to strangers, traffic noises. Or loud children. It is not good to frighten the puppy at a young age.
