The Italian Greyhound is a very lovable dog. Its biggest joy is being with people. It is the kind of dog that likes to cuddle. It will also share the bed with you and sleep for hours. It is very affectionate and loves being with people.

The Italian Greyhound is a very small dog. It is both short in length and very slender. Italian Greyhounds rarely ever bark, so barking isn’t an issue or a problem. It is also often referred to as a lapdog because it is small and loves to be around people and loves to sit and lay with you. For those reasons Italian Greyhounds make great dogs for apartments. They are also very good in small houses because of their size.

As far as maintenance goes they are exceptionally clean. They don’t have the doggy odor like most other dogs. They have short coats so they don’t have any shedding problems and they don’t need to be groomed that frequently. Grooming is a problem at all because of how short their coat is and how small their bodies are. Having the short coats helps with people who have allergies.

 Italian Greyhounds love to chew on toys. They like playing with toys too.  They will play in the yard with you with their toys or a ball. They are very fast for their size.  They love going to the park and playing fetch. In the car they typically don’t jump around or move a lot. They also have no problem with other pets. They are good with sharing toys. They are also very good with children because they have an excellent temper. They are also very smart. It doesn’t take them long to learn new tricks or commands. They are also very well trained because of their intelligence. They are very obedient and listen well.
