The Empire State Building The Empire State Building is the tallest building in New York City. It is a 102-story building and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was designed by Sherve, Lamb, and Harmon. It was finished in 1931. Since then, it has puzzled the minds of Americans.

Ellis Island Located in Upper New York Bay is Ellis Island. It was built in 1892 as an immigrant processing station. It closed in 1924 and was made into a museum. Ellis Island helped 12 million immigrants come to the United States of America. |

Times Square Times Square got its name in 1904 because it was named after the New York Times building. It is the center for hotels, restaurants, and stores. One of the best times of year to visit here is at the New Year’s Celebration where millions come to see the ball drop. |

Central Park This park is called the first real park in this country. It's 843 acres and was bought by the city in 1853. |
Rockefeller Center It is located between 48th and 51st streets, 5th and 6th avenue. Rockefeller Center was going to be a Metropolitan Opera, but the stock market crashed in 1929 and it was abandoned. So, now it is home to Radio City.
