Joe Mauer is, in my opinion, one of the best catchers in Major League Baseball. He is the starting catcher for the Minnesota Twins. He was drafted by the Twins in 2004. In his rookie campaign he had home runs because he was plagued by injury. This past season Mauer was named to the All-Star team.

Jose Reyes is one of the best young shortstops in the MLB. He was born in Villa Gonzalez, Dominican Republic in 1984. Josh was drafted to the New York Mets in 2003. During his rookie season Josh Reyes had 5 home runs with a .307 batting average. 

Ichiro Suzuki is the fastest player in the Major Leagues. Ichiro came to play in the U.S. in 2001. That year he won a MVP award and Golden Glove Award which is given to the best fielder in each league. Before coming to the United States Ichiro had won 7 consecutive batting titles with a .387 batting average in Japan’s Pacific League. Ichiro’s former team was the Orix Blue Waves.    

Ivan Rodriguez is the best veteran catcher in the MLB. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1997. His rookie season he had35 home runs and a .332 batting average. During his Rangers campaign he won an MVP award. He was traded to the Florida Marlins in 2003 where he picked up a World Series Ring. He was at last traded to his current team the Detroit Tigers.

David Ortiz is the best DH in the MLB. He was an undrafted free agent pick-up by the Seattle Mariners in 1992.His rookie season in 197 he had only one home run. Then soon after he was traded to the Boston Red Sox because the Twins thought he was worthless. That 1 home run progressed to 47 in 2005. In the process of getting all of these home runs he picked up a World Series Ring in 2004 with the Red Sox.

Jason Bay is one of the best outfielders in Pirates history. He was the Montreal Expos (the now Washington Nationals) as their 22^nd pick in the 2000 draft. He was traded to the San Diego Padres in his rookie season. He was on the team for half the year. The other half he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was traded to Pittsburgh for OF Brain Giles. The second half he had 3 home runs. He is an All-Star.  

Albert Puljos is one of the best batters in the National League. He was drafted to the St. Louis Cardinals as their 1^st pick in the 2001 draft. He picked up a Rookie of the Year Award and he completely demolished the competition for this award. He came out of the season with 28 home runs. He just became a part of history with the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.  

Vladimir Gurrero is an All- Star outfielder. He was drafted by the Montreal   Expos (the now Washington Nationals) in 19998 as their 1^st round choice. After some All- Star playing in Montreal he was traded. He was traded to his current team the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He has being playing as even more of an All- Star there.

Carlos Lee is the biggest producer for the Milwaukee Brewers. He started out with the Chicago White Sox 1995. He hit many homers in Chicago. Then in 2005, he traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. He now is one of the biggest producers in the National League. 

Johnny Peralta is one of the best young shortstops in the MLB.  He was drafted into the league in 2003 as the 1^st pick for the Cleveland Indians. He can get hits easily. He is a very good utility man because he can do everything.
