The world’s first movies were filmed in 1888, without sound, of course. Some movies were ‘Buffalo Bill’s Shooting Skill’ and ‘Boxing Cats’. ‘Jazz Singer’ was the first movie to use sound, made in 1927.

According to a survey, some of the best movies ever made are ‘The Godfather’, ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘Star Wars’, and ‘Finding Nemo’. 181,950 voted Godfather as the best movie ever!

With all these popular movies around, there is always a few letdowns. Some of these horrible reviewed movies are “Snakes on a Plane”, “Material Girls", 'Baby Geniuses", "Friday the Thirteenth", and surprisingly, "Grease 2"! These all won the "Stinkers" award from Google.
