Basketball is another intense and contact sports that many people enjoy playing. Although it is pretty much the complete opposite from BMX racing the two different sports actually have a lot in common. Well, for instants they both are considered contact sports. The two sports also have their own professional leagues to play and race in against other professionals. When it comes to the professionals there are always the most well-known pro’s that almost everyone likes. But, both of these sports are challenging and very competitive.
	Many people like professional basketball all over the world. It has been around since the early 1900’s so it has been around for a while. And it is much more advanced than back then. Now we play on perfectly made wooden basketball courts. We use very well made basketballs especially during basketball games. There are also glass backboards which help out a lot. And the glass back boards are so much better than the plastic backboards. The plastic backboards are usually much smaller than the glass backboards. But, besides that there has to be basketball teams to play on a basketball court. Many people like the college basketball teams. The college and even the professional basketball teams are insane. For college basketball this year {2006-2007} Pitt University is ranked tenth out of the sixty-five college basketball team. Kansas University, which is a very good college basketball team, is ranked first out of the sixty-five college basketball teams. But that is just the college teams. There are also middle school teams, high-school teams, then there are the college teams, and only a few people make it to the professional teams. The NBA is basically the best of the best when it comes to basketball.
