The Hollywood sign is one of Los Angeles’s most famous landmarks.  It is at the top of Mount Lee, the tallest peak in L.A.  The peak is visible from all parts of Los Angeles.  The sign originally said “Hollywoodland,” but the last for letter were removed in 1945 when Hollywood became the world’s, movie capital. This sign has become an extremely famous landmark and is seen in many movies around the world.  Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reach the sign itself.  An alarm system and fence have recently been installed to keep out the zoo. I would recommend viewing the sign from a safe distance.

The Hollywood Walk of fame is another famous attraction in Los Angeles.  There are stars long the sidewalks that salute celebrities who have had great success.  These “stars” honor not only movie actors, but radio, television, stage performers, directors, singers, songwriters, and other well-known show biz performers. Below the name of each celebrity, is a small, round emblem which represents the category the celebrity was awarded for.  As you walk down the streets, be sure to look down at your feet! 

Universal Studios is an incredible experience.  You can go behind the scenes on the sets where movies are made!  There are thrilling, rides, shows, and attractions that bring movie action to life.  Universal also has wonderful restaurants and clubs.  You can also find yourself shopping at the awesome stores there too! You won’t get bored here and it’s a great way to end your experience in L.A.

The Hollywood Wax Museum is located on Hollywood Blvd.  The museum opened in 1966.  The Hollywood Wax Museum is the only wax museum dedicated to showcasing celebrities. This museum lets you revisit your favorite movie memories.  Don’t miss this thrilling experience.

Sunset Ranch Hollywood is the only ranch located in greater Los Angeles.  It is centrally located in the beautiful Hollywood Hills.  A tour guide will guide you through the hills on your horse as you experience the sites of L.A.  You can look over the mountains and see the whole city!  The horses ride right along the side of the mountain.  If you’re afraid of heights, don’t look down!  Go riding at Sunset Ranch, don’t miss the adventure.
