The Beagle    

The beagle is an attractive small dog with a penchant for wandering around.  They come in four different colors.  They are the following:  tan and white, tan, grey and white, brown and white, and fawn and white.  Beagles are an ancient breed.  They have hunted hare for centuries.

The Chihuahua

The Chihuahua is the smallest dog in the world.  Its average weight is 2 pounds!  The Chihuahua is named after the Mexican state of that name.  They come in six different colors, cream, fawn, black and white, brown and tan, brown and white, and black and tan.  They are also very intelligent and brave.

The Pomeranian

The Pomeranian is hardy and devoted.  They only weigh about 8 pounds.  They come in seven different colors. They are white, brown, orange, blue, beaver, cream, and black.  The Pomeranian got its name from Pomerania.

The Boxer

            The boxer is a family dog.  They are great with children.  The Boxer can be overly protective of the children in the family when roughhousing with friends and must be thoroughly socialized and trained to minimize any aggressive tendencies. The breed is naturally suspicious of strangers and usually makes a good watchdog.  They also come in three different colors, amber, brindle, and deer red.  The boxer is a very brave dog.  They are also a great guide dog for the blind.

The Old English Sheep Dog

            The Old English Sheep Dog is good with children and other animals.  They come in thee different colors:  grey, grizzle, and blue.  Their nickname is “bobtail”.  The Bobtail has a square build and all the fur makes the dog appear fairly short and squat.
