The Baltimore Orioles are a good veteran ball club.  They have a great pitching staff and rotation.  They have great offensive players like Miguel Tejada.  He went to the Homerun Derby and hit nine homeruns.  Another great veteran from the past is Sammy Sosa.  He has been on a slump ever since he was traded from the Cubs.  Their club isn’t all veterans, they have excellent prospects in the minors.

At one of the hardest places to hit a homerun is where the Boston Red Sox play.  Fenway Park holds the Red Sox superstars like Coco Crisp, Matt Clement, and David Ortiz. They are rated the second best team in baseball with their outstanding pitching rotation and all of their power hitters.

In 2005, the White Sox won the World Series.  They had a lot of help off Juan Uribe, Mark Buerle, and Jim Thome. In 2006, Jim Thome had twenty-four pinch-hit homeruns.  He used to play for the Phillies but was injured and he quit.  He felt better and joined the White Sox.  He and Mark Buerle played in the all-stargame at Pittsburgh.

The Tribe dominates Cleveland with their outstanding defense.  The Indians play at Jacobs Field, it is very nice but gets way too hot sometimes.  They have powerful shortstop Johnny Peralta.  The Tribe does good in the season but isn’t the best team.

The Detroit Tigers just lost the World Series in 2006 St. Louis Cardinals.  This season was especially important because of their great comeback from 11 straight losing seasons under .500.  They were outstanding with their new coach, Jim Leyland, who was the Pirates coach in the ‘90s.  The Tigers blew throughout the playoffs but lost at the end of the season.

The Kansas City Royals play at Kauffman Stadium.  They fair well with Matt Stairs, and Mike Sweeney.  They lose many games throughout the season.  Gaining new players each year makes them able to go to the playoffs.  They might not make it to the World Series for a while though.

When it comes to a good baseball team the Minnesota Twins could be an answer.  In 2006 they went all the way to the playoffs but lost to the Oakland Athletics.  They have a very tight defense with ace pitcher Johan Santana, and Gold Glove winner Torii Hunter.  Their whole line up is dangerous, their catcher, Joe Mauer batted an average of .384 in 2006.

Many people love the New York Yankees because of their skilled players and ability to win almost every ballgame.  They have many World Series Titles and, are rated the best team in baseball.  Although a lot of people do not like them.  Many people refer to them as money hungry, steroid abusers.

Detroit Tigers.  Their offense is amazing with Frank Thomas and Eric Chavez.  Their defense is good too with Bobby Crosby, Eric Chavez and ace pitcher Barry Zito.  The Oakland Athletics have lots of power and great defense.  Someday they will win the World Series once again.

In Seattle, the Mariners are a fair team.  They have one of the best hitters, fielders, and runners.  His name is Ichiro Suzuki.  He has a batting average near .400.  They have an average amount of wins.  With their incredible speed they are the leaders in stolen bases throughout the year.  Ichiro Suzuki is one of the most fastest players in the game. 

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays were one of the worst teams in baseball.  They have been winning more games lately thanks to the incredibly fast Carl Crawford. His spud and defense makes a great ball player.  Another factor is their rookie pitchers.

 Down in Texas, the Rangers dominate.  They have great players like Mark Teixiara and Lance Nix.  Even though the   Rangers have a small amount of World Series titles they have an amazing baseball team full of players capable to do very well and hit many homeruns.  Their pitching staff is great with Kip Wells who was traded from the Pirates to the Rangers in 2006 at the end of the trade dead-line.

The Toronto Blue Jays do exceptionally well with players like Vernon Wells and Roy Halladay.  During the season they win a normal amount of games.  In 2006 the Toronto Blue Jays had more wins then loses meaning they were over .500.  They are looking to get very good prospects to help them get to the playoffs in the future.
