Melissa McGhee was on the show only for a little while. She was the first person to be voted off from the top twelve. She admitted to voting for herself during her stay on American Idol. Though she was kicked of soon, many people believe that she could be a great star.

The night Kevin Covais was voted off was one of the worst moments in American Idol history for me. The 16 year old had a great voice, but one judge said he only got the granny vote. But that couldn’t be the truth!!! My friends and I voted for him. Oh well. :(

 Lisa Tucker barely made it to the concert, because it only was available for the top ten. She has a big voice and is an aspiring actress. A few weeks after she got kicked off, she landed a role in The O.C. She claimed to be the best student out of the school aged bunch.

Mandisa was another of my favorite contestants. She was a very loving contestant. Simon Cowell (judge) made a comment about her weight, and she accepted and forgave him for. She was vote off during country week, when she sang “Any Man of Mine”.

Bucky Covington is a country singer who wasted to be a “male Carrie Underwood”. He likes his blonde hair long, and he wouldn’t let the stylists cut it. He was one of a few wild hair doers, that’s for sure!

Ace is a contestant that already had the American Idol look. His fans call him “Ace The Face”. I’ve seen many people fawning over him, and I have to say he does look very cool and has a personality to match.

Kellie was a favorite contestant for many. The blonde hair Southerner was laughed at a lot because of her pronunciation of calamari. She went to Wolfgang Puck for help, but everyone has loved her the way she had been.

Paris Bennett is a little girl with a huge voice. She gave bug performances every night that she was on the stage. She also had a different hair style every week! She was a great addition to the excitement of the competition.

Chris was a competitor that nobody suspected would be voted off. About half of the viewers thought he would be the winner! But no, he came in 4^th place after singing Elvis songs. Katharine McPhee was very shocked, as was all of America.

Elliot Yamin was a great singer on the show. Paula Abdul loved him. He was known for being the contestant who loved his mom a lot. She appeared on the show often.

 Katharine McPhee gave people the “McPheever”. She sang all different songs, ranging from ballads to rock songs. She was never officially “voted off”, because she came in second place.

Taylor Hicks, the soul man, was yet another of my favorite contestants. He is the salt-and pepper haired 29 year old who brought the blues into the competition. He won People Mag’s Top Bachelor award against Brad Pitt, Ryan Seacrest, and a whole lot of other stars. He is expected to have a CD coming out in The Fall of ’06.
