The deck is made up of 6-7 pieces of wood. At the end of both sides there is a little thing called pop. Pop is the curved the part of the board. Pop helps you do tricks. Their is more pop in the back than in the front. Some times there is a graphic on the bottom of the deck, or the bottom is blank.

Grip tape is an important part of the board. It helps you stay on the board. When you do tricks it wears down your shoes. The grip tape will eventually rip your shoe laces.

The wheels is tthe part that stays on the ground. The wheels stay attached to the trucks. Their are different types of wheels. Their are gel, rubber , Plastic and thir is really hard plastic wheels that comes with the cheap boards you get at wal mart.Just like thier are different knids their are different brands. Their are many brands like Flip, Spitfire, Element, Ricta and many more.

Bearings make the wheels move.They help the board move.Their are different kinds. Their are abec 3, 5 ,and 7. Their are also different parts. Their are speed washers, bearing spacers, polished ball bearings,caps, and bearing lube which is like WD 40.You put the bearings in the wheel and then on the trucks. | |

The Hardware is what holds the board together. You need nuts to hold the wheels on the trucks.Also you need nuts and screws to hold the trucks on to the board. | |

Trucks are immportant. You need them to hold the wheels on.The trucks attach to the board.The trucks help you turn. A good brand is independant truck company. | |
