FASHION WEEK!

     Fashion week occurs twice every year! What is fashion week? Fashion is when all the top and new designers show off their upcoming collections. Fashion weeks are held around the world, although the most popular is New York's. At fashion week you will find buyers for major stores, the media of course, fashion stylist, stars and other wealthy people.

       TRENDS

     The worst thing in fashion is looking LAST year! Fashion trends, are also known as "fads". Mini skirts are initially from the 80's but are soo in right now. Jeans, T-shirts, and little black blazers will never go out of style. Black is making a big comeback for fall. Just use cute little accessories to juice it up!  Skinny jeans as you may know are the new big thing. They look great with either flats, tennis shoes, or even high heels with the right blouse. Big belts. Big belts look great with oversized, or shirts that are longer than normal. They're meant not to fit in belt hoops and just fit perfectly around the waist. This should never go out of style.

VERSACE

      Versace is an Italian clothier founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. Donatella Versace now controls the majority of the company. The first boutique was opened in Milan's Via Della Spiga. Popularity in Versace was immediate.

VERA WANG

        Vera Wang was born June 27th 1949; a fashion designer from New York, New York. She is known for her exclusive wedding gowns. Vera's dresses are very beautiful and clean cut. As a girl Vera competed in professional figure skating but when she failed to win the Olympics she turned to her other passion, Fashion. Vera not only designs clothes but also she has her own fragrance, jewelry, eyewear (sunglasses), shoes, and house ware collections.

DOLCE and GABANNA

     Dolce and Gabanna was started by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna. The business was based in Milan and the first us store opened in the united states in 1995. They have boutiques in London, New York, L.A., Milano, and Paris. Dolce and Gabanna is now the symbol of high fashion and couture.

 MARC JACOBS

 Marc Jacobs was born April 9th 1963. He is an American fashion designer and won the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble award in 1984. He was also awarded the Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble award and Design student of the year. Jacobs is Jewish and openly gay. His first collection was for Reuben Thomas. In 1984 Jacobs formed a partnership with Robert Duffy although it remains Marc Jacobs
