Cheerleading

A stunt is when someone puts another person into the air, or on top of one another.  Basically any skill involving mounting, a pyramid, or a toss.

An extension is an elevator but once done with the prep, everyone must be steady.  The bases push the flyer further into the air by extending their arms all the way above their heads, until their arms are completely straight.

A cradle is very popular in cheerleading.  It can be done from almost ant stunts where the flyer is in the bases hands.  Then the base(s) throw the flyers feet straight up in the air.  Then she rides the toss up, pulling her toes to her head.  Next, the flyer lands in the arms of the base(s) in a pike position.

An elevator is one of the easiest stunts in cheerleading.  It is when the two bases hold a foot of the flyer.  Then, the flyer pops up and she is lifted to shoulder height.

The scorpion goes up the same  way as a liberty.  Then, the flyer grabs her toe, or ankle, and pulls it with the foot to the back of her head.  Her leg forms a circle from her hip to her head.

A liberty is part of many other stunts.  The flyer starts as if she is in an extension.  Then, she puts one foot in her hands of the main base, and pops up.  Next, the flyers free foot comes up to where her knee is, and she strikes a position.
