Mario started out looking like this. In 1985, Super Mario Bros. come out on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is one of the best videogames, I say.  Mario can grow with mushrooms and get power-ups from flowers. Hidden extra live, hidden levels, this game had it all. It was actually rated the number one game out of 200 in Electronic Gaming Magazine.

This is Mario now. Lots of things have changed as you can see. Well, better graphics. The newest Mario game (that hasn’t really been released yet) is Super Mario Galaxy for Wii. It will probably be just like Super Mario 64, but better. Another new game coming out is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It will be exactly like Super Smash Bros. Melee just with new characters like Wario, and new moves and stuff.

Games out now for Gamecube are Mario Party 3,4,5,6, and 7, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Super Strikers, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Luigi’s Mansion, Mario Kart Double Dash, and more. For Nintendo 64, some games were, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and many more.

Nintendo is a Japanese company. They create many videogames such as Mario, and Kirby. Nintendo started out in arcades in the 1980’s. They really hit it big with NES and Super Mario Bros. Now the newest game consol is the Wii. Nintendo also has handheld devices. The first was Gameboy. The newest one now is the Nintendo DS Lite.

Mario Party 7 is really fun. You select your character and you can have up to 4 players. You pick a level and get started. You hit a dice block to move spaces and after everyone has had a turn you play a mini-game. The mini-games have different categories such as, mic, 4 player, 2 vs. 2,  duel, and many others. It chooses randomly and then you play the mini-game. The winner usually wins 10 coins. Then, each player has another turn. You objective is to get more stars than all the other players. The stars are located on spaces around the board. The person with the most stars at the end of the game wins.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is about fighting. You can choose from a bunch of different characters from other Nintendo games not just Mario and you can unlock some characters too. That’s one cool thing about it. You can have up to 4 players. Then, you choose your opponents and the arena you want to fight on. Different characters have different special moves. To win you must defeat the other opponents by knocking them off the arena 1-5 times.
