Franco Harris
Franco
Harris, one of the best and fastest running backs the NFL has ever
seen. Franco got his start as a Nittany lion at the University of Penn
State. From there Franco got drafted by the Pittsburgh. In Franco’s’
first season as a Steeler he had a total of 1055 yards on 188 carries.
So in his first season Franco had a total of 13 touch downs. From then
on Franco helped lead the Steelers to four super bowls in 1974, 1975,
1978, and 1979. Franco Harris is now in the pro football hall of fame
for all he has done for the Steelers.

Terry
Bradshaw
Terry
Bradshaw, the quarter back for the Pittsburgh and a legend to many.
Terry Bradshaw was always a quarter back in all of his time playing
football through out high school, collage, and pro. In 1970 Terry was
drafted by the Steelers as a quarter back. In terry’s first season as
the quarter back for the Steelers he had a very bad season throwing many
interception and making lots of mistakes. Then for the seasons after
Terry spent his time improving his accuracy, timing and working on
making him a super bowl quarter back. From that point on terry toke his
team to four super bowls. Now terry Bradshaw is in the pro football hall
of fame with many of his other team mates.

Rocky Bleier
Rocky Bleier,
The Vietnam veteran that was injured in the war. Rocky graduated from
the University of Notre Dame in 1968. From collage, Rocky went to play
one season for the Steelers. But, after Rockys' rookie season he was
drafted into the army where he stayed for one year until he was injured.
After being injured in the war Rocky took three years off to recover. In
1974 rocky began playing again for the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the rest
of Rocky career he remained a full back and at times a tailback. Rocky
went to four super bowls with the Steelers and has four super bowl rings
from them. Rocky Bleire was also inducted into the pro football hall of
fame. |

John Stallwoth

receptions for a total of 8,723 with a career 63 touchdowns. Those were
John Stallworths career statistics. John got his start when he was
drafted by the Steelers in 1974 coming from Alabama A&M University.
After being drafted by the Steelers john became a huge factor in the
Steelers success getting deep yardage when the Steelers needed it most.
John played from 1974 till 1987 with the Steelers until he retired , in
which he went to four super bowls. John Stallworth was inducted into the
pro football hall of fame in 2002. |

Jack
Lambert
He was
mea n he was scary and he was strong. He is jack Lambert. Jack Lambert
was drafted in the second round of 1974 coming out of Kent state
university. In the 1974 season jack was named defensive rookie of the
year. In that same season jack helped take the Steelers to there first
super bowl, and a victory. In the seasons that followed jack and the
Steelers went to three more super bowls and won all three. Jack played
a total of eleven seasons with the Steelers and in those seasons jack a
whole 28 career interceptions. In 1990 Jack Lambert was inducted into
the pro football hall of fame |

Joe Greene
He was
one of the most famous members of the steel curtain and also one of the
meanest linemen around. His name was Mean Joe Greene. Picked by the
Steelers in the fourth round of the NFL draft in 1969 Joe Greene came
from the university of north Texas. once Joe joined the Steelers in the
1970's mean Joe helped the Steelers defense a lot. Joe went to four
super bowls with the Steelers, where in one super bowl Joe had one
interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. as a Steeler
Joe played 181 games with 66 sacks and 16 total fumble recoveries. Joe
Greene was in ducted into the pro football hall of fame in 1987. |
