Jessica Simpson was born on July 10, 1980 in Abilene, Texas.  Jessica was raised in a very loving family environment.  Mr. and Mrs. Simpson wanted the best for Jessica.  They went to church every Sunday and Jessica became very religious.  She used to go to church camps and at the age of 12 she started singing in her Baptist choir and that is when she discovered her new talent.
		Jessica’s first album was ‘Sweet Kisses’ in 1999.  It sold two and a half million copies in the US.  Her first single ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ reached top five of the US billboard hot 100 singles chart.  Jessica’s second album ‘Irresistible’ reached the top five of the top 10 of the billboard charts in the US and top 20 on the Canadian album charts.  Jessica’s last album ‘In This Skin’ was one of her bests and has songs such as, ‘Take my Breathe Away’, ‘With You’, and ‘Angels’.
		Jessica also has many inspirations. Her biggest influences are Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.  She just loves their voices and the way they sound.  Jessica also looks up to Cece Winans, a gospel singer.
		In October of 2002 Jessica married Nick Lachey.  After that in the summer of 2003 they had their own TV show called ‘Newlyweds’ on MTV.  This show was watched by everyone all over America.  Everyone found it quite funny when Jessica would make little mistakes such as, asking if chicken of the sea was really tuna or chicken.  Eventually America grew to love the couple and watched the show for all three seasons.
		Jessica just came out with her new album ‘Public Affair’ which was released on August 29, 2006.  She is also co-starring in an upcoming movie with Dane Cook called ‘Employee of the Month’.  She also has a new show on MTV and it’s all about her new album and the making of it.
