Hockey

The goalie needs certain equipment to play the poison. Instead of a players gloves they need a glove and a blocker to catch and block the puck from going into the net. The goalie also needs to wear Leg pads so the goalies legs do not get hit with the puck and also to make he or she take a bigger portion of the net. The Legs pads also help the goalie go into a butterfly stance and to stop pucks that are low to the ground when he or she is in that position. They also have to have a chest protector so they can stop the puck without hurting their heart, ribs, and stomach. The stick is for protecting the five hole and stopping on the ground shots with out going into a butterfly stance. The most important part of equipment is the helmet it protects the head from taking high shots so you do not get brain damage, stitches and other injuries.

Goalies should stretch before games so they do not pull a muscle during the game. You should do stretches with a partner or by yourself. Some  Inidival stretches are calf stretches witch you should do about 15. The player can also do prone quadriceps stretch. The reverse legs are when you flat and bent your right leg, pull your legs up and down. There are other stenches like seated straight leg, Inverted hurdler Progression pretzel, butterfly groin stretch, and mad cat stretch

Goaltenders are using their pads for a certain purpose like legs pads are so you protect the low flying pucks from going into the five hole. This is also for when the goalie goes down into a butterfly position. The stick also protects on the ground pucks from going into the net this can also helps you pass a puck to the other players. Goalies use their glove to catch high pucks, they also use their blocker. The blocker is for you to deflect the puck

Most goaltenders want to get better at home by doing the stuff around the house. The first drill you can do t home is the ladder drill this is by making a ladder with tape and jumping in one of the holes of the ladder and jumping out on the opposite side. The second drill you can do Is balance your self n a half a ball. This includes doing squats on the ball, catching a medicine ball and also just seeing how long you can stay in that possion. Third drill you can do at home is the wall sit see how long you can do it with out giving up.
Pro goaltenders are a hard position to get. Most goaltenders that got their for a reason. the goaltenders practice about 5 days a week or more. Goaltenders that are in that position have to play the hardest each time they play even at practices. If a goaltenders make the pros they have to give their heart to play hockey.
