The Steelers were always a good team. Bill Cowher led them to a super bowl win. Most people thought the Steelers were not going to make it to the playoffs because they had to win 4 games in a row to advance to the playoffs. After being 6th seed in the playoffs then making it to the Super Bowl and also winning it broke a lot of records.

| The Steelers started off the season with a perfect start. They beat the titans 34-7. Willie parker started his first NFL game with 200 plus rushing yards. He had tremendous game. Also with the first score of the season was the rookie Heath Miller. |

Then they traveled to the Texans with a 0-1 record. Witch they blew out. Randle El showing the he can take over Plexico Burress place by catching a 54 yard pass. The Steelers won 27-7 increasing there record to 2-0.

| The Steelers played the defending Champions the New England Patriots. It was a tough game but we lost 23-20 so are record was now 2-1 |

At the seas of San Diego the Steelers faced the Chargers. it was a Monday night game and it was close game the Steelers won though with the final score 24-22. Big Ben got hurt though ,but was not out for a while. | |
| The Steelers then faced the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a brutal game because Ben was out and Tommy was starting and we lost 23 - 17 in over time. Our record now fell to 3-2. |

| The Steelers then went on a four game win streak. The first game we played against The Bengal's and won 27 - 13. Then we played the Ravens and won 20 - 19. Then we played a non conference game against the Packers. We won 20 - 10 with a three game win streak in our hands. Then we went to play the Browns, and won 34 - 21. That now extended our record to 7 - 2. |

Then we faced the Ravens again. It ended with a field goal in OT. After losing 16 - 13 in OT, our streak has ended and our record fell to 7-3. Then we faced the Colts and lost one more time. We then had a two game losing streak. We lost to the colts 26 - 7. Then we had one more lost against the Bengal's. We had a 3 game losing streak. We lost to the Bengal's 38 - 31. | |
| We had to win the rest of our games to have a birth in the playoffs. First we had to beat the amazing Bears defense. We did by winning 21 - 6. Then we went to Minnesota to face the Vikings. We won that one also, 18 - 13. Then we had the Browns and we dominated by having our last away game end up in a shut out. We won with a big 41 - 0. Then our last game at home and for Jerome Bettis. They won and advanced to the playoffs by scoring 35 against 31. |

The Steelers started the play offs with a nail biting game. After losing in the first two quarters they came back winning, 31 - 17. They went to the divisional playoffs against a team they had lost to in the regular season. | |
| We played the Colts at the RCA dome for the divisional playoff game. We had an outstanding game until Bettis fumbled at the one yard line. After Joey Porter sacked Peyton Manning at the two yard line, that's when Bettis fumbled. Without Ben we would have lost the game, by making a shoe lace tackle. The colts kicked a 45 yard field goal to tie it up, but Vanderjagt the Colts kicker blew it by hitting a field goal wide right, and the Steelers won 21 - 18. |

The Steelers were the six seed in the play offs and were one game away from the Super Bowl. They traveled to Denver for the AFC championship game. The won it and was heading to Detroit after winning 34 - 17. | |
| After going on a six game win streak and finally in the Super Bowl, Antwaan Randle El threw a 47 yard touch down pass to Hines Ward to close the game up by winning 21 - 10. Bill Cowher, having his first Super Bowl win and Big Ben the youngest QB to ever win a super bowl. |
