A defensemen's job is to keep the attack men from scoring. There are three defensemen on each side of the field. To play defense you need good footwork, good stick skills, and good reaction time. When you play you need to be aggressive. A defensemen has a longer stick than anyone on the field. The length of a regulation defensemen's stick is 6ft including the head.

A attack men's job is to score goals on the other team. To be an attack men you need good footwork, sticks skills, and a fast accurate shot. The attack men play 95% offense and 5% defense. There are three attack men on each side if the field at any given time.

A mid-fielder's job is to play offense and defense. They 50% offense and 50% defense. The mid-fielder's score probably  once or twice in a game. To play this position you need have good stamina, be able to run fast for long periods of time, and play offense and defense. You can play mid-field with a short stick or a defensemen's stick.

A goalies job is to stop balls that are shot by the attack men and mid-fielders. Goalies need to able to take shots to the lower body, clear the ball, and have good hand eye coordination. They goalies stick  head is bigger than any other stick on the field. When they clear the ball they throw it a defense men or mid-fielder.
