This beloved classic fairy tale is about Belle, a strong willed young woman who is dying to escape her simple life and an obnoxious suitor, Gaston. Her father gets lost in the woods and gets taken captive after he intrudes on the Beast’s castle. In an attempt to save him she is thrown into fate’s hands. She bargains with the Beast to let her father free and to take her instead. The Beast’s servants take sympathy for Belle and make her a room instead of her sleeping in the Beast’s dungeon forever. To Belle’s surprise she soon finds herself enjoying the Beast and his servants’ company. The servants are actually enchanted objects put under a curse by an enchantress. The Beast is also under her curse. Their only hope of becoming human again is Belle. Her love can set them free.
