Taj is a young Australian surfer who is very talented. He was born at Busselton Hospital in South Western Australia and grew up in one of the worlds most dynamic surf-rich regions. He rode his first wave at age 7. He is one of the most popular surfers known today.

Do you know the popular that got a shout out from Queen Latifa at the teen choice awards? That would be Kelly. Even if you are new to surfing, chances are that you have probably have heard of Kelly Slater. Slater is a six time world champion surfer. He was also people magazines most beautiful people, and even the guitarist for “The Surfers.”

A terrible start to the season weighted heavily on Cory before he managed a couple strong results. He reached to QS finals at Huntington beach in California. Another semi-finals showing at pipe line also helped his career when he made the top 16 Finnish.

Mike Fanning joined Kirra surf riders in when he was 12, with his brothers Sean, Ed and Pete. In the beginning Mike wasn’t so keen on surfing. He had been a state soccer player, and a state long distance runner. He was found surfing on he Goldie and was sponsored by Quicksilver. Ed was already sponsored by Billabong.

During the 90’s CJ and his twin brother Damien became the most popular and the most successful twin act in the NSSA. They both eastern and national surfing titles and are one of the most talented brothers known to surf.

Finally, my most personal favorite surfer, Andy Irons!! He has many national titles and even took out 6 time world champion Kelly Slater. He grew up in Hawaii less than 100 miles from the shore and he defiantly has a competitive spirit, even with his younger brother Bruce.
