                  (After 2005 Bowl Series)

  1. Texas (13-0)

Very fast team. Their defense is really good because of that. They are also well coached.
Well balanced team. Although, on the bigger teams, they seem to let up as many points as they score. 2. USC (12-1)

  3. Penn State (11-1)

Young team. But this, year Joe Pa was a genius again this year. They played with heart every game. Very fast too.
The Buckeye defense is awesome. They let up fewer than 15 points per game. Their secondary is really good too. 4. Ohio State (10-2)

  5. WVU (11-1)

Played very well this season, are well deserved to be ranked 5.
Fast, older team. Always seems to have fast running-backs which helps their offense. 6. LSU (11-2)

  7. Virginia Tech (11-2)

They had issues with Marcus Vick, but came around again this year.
Had rough outings early in the season. But they came around at the end of the season. 8. Alabama (10-2)

(No Picture)

  9. Notre Dame (9-3)

Notre Dame is good, but they just couldn't get the wins this year. But they are a good young team that will be good next year.
They seemed to be lost without D.J. Shockley for the games they lost, but winning the SEC title helped them. 10. Georgia (10-3)

  11. TCU (11-1)

(No Picture)

Above average team that won their way to their Bowl, but because of their Bowl game loss, they are ranked further down. 12. Oregon (10-2)

  13. Florida (9-3)

They have an excellent passing game. They have either freshman or sophomore receivers that have talent.
Losing two great running-backs didn't help much for the team this year. But had a good year. 14. Auburn (9-3)

  15. Wisconsin (10-3)

Seem to have a good ground attack and somewhat decent defense.
Had a good year. Although because of their strength of schedule, they they weren't ranked as high as they should be. 16. UCLA (10-2)

  17. Miami (9-3)

With the help of the WR/CB/Return Specialist Devin Hester, the 'Canes were off to a good start, but lost 2 of their last 3 games, including their Bowl game.
Boston College always seems to have a naturally average team every year, but this year it was more noticeable. 18. Boston College (9-3)

  19. Louisville (9-3)

Texas Tech's amazing offense helped them quite a bit. But their defense lacks a lot. 20. Texas Tech (9-3)

  21. Clemson (8-4)

Another average team that stays consistent almost every year.
They didn't do so good without the help of young running-back, Adrian Peterson. 22. Oklahoma (8-4)

  23. Florida State (8-5)

They lagged a lot during the turn of the season losing a lot of games that they should've won.
Just had a lucky season, and by beating the Wolverines in their Bowl game, that helped a lot. 24. Nebraska (8-4)

(No Picture)

  25. Cal (8-4)

They just had a rough year losing all their games to other Pac-10 teams.
