A high school lacrosse game is generally 48 minutes long, with four 12 minute quarters. Each team is given a two minute break between the first and second quarters, and the third and forth quarters. Halftime players are given ten minutes. |

There are two types of fouls personal and technical fouls. Personal fouls are those of a serious nature: illegal body checking, slashing, cross-checking, tripping, and unnecessary roughness. The penalty of a personal foul is suspension from the game for one to three minutes. Technical fouls are those of a less-serious nature than personal fouls. Some examples are crease violations, holding, and offside. The penalty is a 30-second suspension of player or awarding of the ball to the team fouled. | |

The size of a lacrosse field is 110 yards long. The goals are set out 15 yards from the end line. The goals are 6ft. wide and 6ft. high. The goal has a crease around it which is a nine inch radius. | |

A player’s stick must meet certain requirements also. An attack or midfielders stick must be an overall length of 40-42 inches. A defender’s stick must be an overall length of 52-72 inches. The head of the stick must be 6.5 inches wide and 10 inches long, except the goalies stick which may be 10-12 inches wide. |

Buddy is a type of stringing that has the hold and feel of a traditional stringing with a lesser amount of weight. |

Pita is also another type of stringing that has the look and feel of a traditional stringing. It allows for the fastest shot and hardest pass. |

Soft mesh is the type of stringing to get a nice forming pocket. It requires some maintenance. It is easy to keep control of the ball. |

The channel pocket stringing gives the player more ball control. The channel allows for the most accurate shooting and most precise passing. |
