Greek mythology was created by the Greeks to explain things that they didn’t understand or things that they could not prove with the lack of technology they had hundreds or years ago. Though they were a well balanced civilization full of science and philosophy, the Greeks still told stories of gods and goddesses, mythical beasts, and legends of creation and wonder. These myths would explain how an echo is made, why the trees die and the earth transforms into a cold state, and why the sun rises. Most of the things in life are explained through science but Greek mythology is still fascinating to historians and even scientists.
