This is the calico cat (left). These acts are one of the most common cats among house pets. Most calicos are shorthaired, but there are also some longhaired cats too. The longhaired cats are not as common as the shorthaired, that is the reason why people don’t see many calico cats that are long haired.

          This is the cute, little burmese cat (right). These cats are one of the smaller kinds of domestic cats. These cute little kitties are not a very common kind of cat to see as a house pet. Almost all burmese cats have a light brown coat, but sometimes they can have a coat that looks almost black.

          This not so cute cat is the sphynx (left). The cat is a very uncommon cat, especially among house pets. Not many people want a sphynx for a house pet because of their frightening hairless appearance. Sphynxes are good pets for people who do not like to vacume up cat hair, they are also very good pets for people allergic to pet fur since they have no hair.

          This is the tabby cat (right). It is the most common kind of domestic cat there is. As well as being a very common domestic cat, you can also see tabby cats in many houses to. These cats are not really meant to be a show cat like most pure breed  cats.  Tabby cats range in the color of there fur but they always have their stripes.

          This is the siamese cat (left). Often times people know what a siamese cat looks like because they do not look close to many other cats. These domestic cats are not very common as house hold pets but are very common among show cats.

Along with different kinds of cats, there are also different types of fur too. This tabby cat on the right has shorthair. Shorthair is the most common among domestic cats. Longhair is also common among cats, but not as much shorthair. The most uncommon type of fur among domestic cats is the wirehair. Wirehair isn’t the most appealing type of fur there is which makes it uncommon to see in house pets.
