Dwight White was born July 39th, 1949 in Hampton, Virginia. He went to James Madison High School then attended Texas A&M for college. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 253 pounds. He played 126 games with the Steelers. He had 4 interceptions for 37 yards. He also had 7 fumble recoveries for a total of 13 yards. But he was most famous for being a part of the steel curtain.

 

 

Loren Towes was born November 3rd, 1951 in Dinuba, California. He was drafted in 1973 to the Pittsburgh Steelers after graduating form the University of California.

 

 

Mel Bount was the third draft pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was born April 10th, 1948 in Vidalia, Georgia. He had 57 interceptions for a total of 736 yards, and 13 opponent fumble recoveries.

 

 

Steve Furness was born December 5th, 1950 in Warwick, Rhode Island. He was a 5th round draft pick. He had 32 sacks which is 10th all time in Steelers history.

 

 

J.T Thomas was born April 22nd, 1951 in Macon, Georgia. He was 6 feet 2 inches tall. He played 8 seasons with the Steelers and then finished his career with the Denver Broncos. He went to college at Florida State. He had 20 interceptions for a total of 147 yards but no touchdowns. He had 2 fumbles for 12 yards.

 

 

Ben McGee was born January 26th, 1939 in Starkville, Missouri. He attended Henderson High School, and then attended Jackson State University. He played 119 games with the Steelers. He had 1 interception for 21 yards. He also had 7 fumble recoveries.

 

 

“Mean” Joe Greene was the number 1 draft pick in 1968. He was born September 24th, 1946 in Temple, Texas. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 275 pounds. He was the NFL Defensive Player of Year, 1972, 1974. He went to North Texas State. He only had 1 interception for 26 yards, but he had 16 fumble recoveries. He also played in 10 pro bowls and 4 super bowls.
