The Connecticut Huskies 610 Junior Josh Boone came to U-Conn for a chance to play with Emeka Okafor. Josh Boone was an under the radar recruit who was an excellent student [1,200 on his SAT]. Last season Boone led the Big Eastern blocks [2.9], was third in rebounding [8.4 a game] and was named the leagues defensive player of the year; the same award Okafor had won the previous two seasons. Josh Boone hopes to help the Huskies to a second successful season.

Boston College figures to muscle their way into contention in their first ACC season. They figure that they are going to do this with their junior shooting forward Jared Dudley. In Jared Dudleys words about the ACC is that we play a physical game, and thats going to hurt a lot of teams in the ACC. Jared Dudley and Craig Smith may be Boston Colleges immovable force inside, but Dudley continues to improve his game with the help of his four starters by him side and together he believes they can beat all the teams in the ACC.

If anyone thinks Villanovia wildcats cant win with out senior forward Curtis Sumpter, the teams top interior player, you should think again. After Sumpter tore a ligament, coach Jay Wright had to put in 64 Junior guard Randy foye. Randy Foye developed his toughness growing up in a rough section of Newark. He was raised by his grandmother. Since their one player was done for the season because he reinjured his knee, coach Jay Wright called Randy Foye its most favorite player on the team. [Randy Foye 64 Sr. 15.5 ppg 2.09 spg]

Coach Ben Howland is smiling for a big success this year with his team leaders, guard Jordan Farmar and his back court partner Arron Afflalo. These arent your typical sophomores. Farmar a smooth playmaker, who describes himself as a natural born leader, and Afflalo a steady defender, were the only bruins to start every game last season, and now they appear capable of guiding UCLA back to the NCAA tournament. Coach Howland is comfortable with Jordan Farmar and Arron Afflalo brings home another NCAA title. [SF Josh Shipp 65 Soph. 9.3 ppg 5.2 rpg]
