This is a picture of a 2006 Honda crf 250r. This is a 4 stroke. 4 strokes are great bikes because they have a lot of power and they are great for rough and rugged trails. A lot of racers now a days are changing from 2 strokes to 4 strokes because 4 strokes are getting made a lot more better and the factories are making less 2 strokes because everyone wants 4 strokes.

This is a picture of Todd Tedesco. He races Kawasaki's. Kawasaki is a great brand of dirt bikes. The reason a lot of racers use 4 strokes over 2 strokes is because 2 strokes need more maintenance and 2 strokes bog out to easily. 4 strokes are really tough and strong and a lot easier to handle than 2 strokes. Racers also use them because 2 strokes bounce around and 4 strokes are nice and smooth when u ride them.

this is a picture of Joey Lanza. He is racing a ktm 450 ex. This is the Baja race in Mexico. In this race they race on sand and little rocks so they would most likely use 4 strokes to get around easier and get good traction. And they need a lot of power to finish this hard race so 4 strokes would be the best choice.

These are all pictures of 4 strokes. All of these bikes are all bikes that a lot of racers use. $ strokes are quicker at starting than 2 strokes. That is why it is a good race when a person with a 4 stroke races a person with a 2 stroke. I know a lot of people who have 4 strokes and they say they like them a lot. Some of the new strokes have better suspension because a lot of racers switched from 2 strokes to 4 strokes so they had to make 4 strokes with better suspension.
