In 2006 he had 39 tackles, 10.5 sacks sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. His quick feet always made him a threat in the linebacker position. |

Casey Hampton Casey Hampton was the big man in the middle for the Steelers in 2006. He had 25 tackles in the regular season to help them earn the name the steel curtain again. He is a great run stopper and always clogs the middle which helped keep their opponents under par rushing this season. |

Ike Taylor Ike Taylor has finally proved himself worthy of a Super Bowl ring in the 2005 season. He was all over the place breaking up passes and stopping the run. He had 75 tackles and 1 interception in the 2005-2006 season He made the secondary better by covering receivers and keeping quarterbacks quessing. |

Troy Polamalu Troy Polamalu is a 3rd year safety out of the University of Southern California. He is a maniac in the secondary and stopping the run. He is amazingly fast and gets to the holes faster than the running back sees them. That is why his teammates have nicknamed him “The Tazmanian Devil”. In the 2005 season he had 73 tackles and 3 sacks which helped the defense win yet another SuperBowl. |

Travis Kirschke Travis Kirschke only had 7 tackles in the 2005 regular season but had tackles in key games at key times. He is still developing and is still young and should be a significant threat in the future. |

Chris Hope Chris Hope is another young star in the Steeler secondary. In 2006 he had 69 tackles and 3 interceptions including the huge interception to stop a very important drive against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. He will continue to improve and also become a very big threat against opposing offenses. |
