The Americans played a very important part in World War II even though we did not enter the war until we were bombed in Pearl Harbor.  Shortly after this we declared war on Japan.  We had to fight Japan throughout the rest of the war which brought many casualties to both sides.  To end this war with Japan we dropped two nuclear bombs on September, 1945.  We decided to drop these bombs because to invade the rest of Japan by man power we would have lost many more people.  Shortly after dropping these bombs Japan surrendered.  

We also had to go to war with Germany through most of this war because Adof Hitler declared war on us with the honest belief that he could not ever lose.

Shortly after this we went to war with Germany as well.  After fighting for a long time  D-Day came on June 6, 1944.  This day is when America invaded the beaches of France to recover the land from Germany.  The war with Germany was very long and hard, The Germans were probably the strongest enemies we ever fought but we ended this war with Germany when the Allies captured Berlin from the Germans.  Shortly after this Hitler committed suicide for his beliefs followed shortly by the people that were closest to him.  These people included his wife, his highest ranking officials in his army and his most trusted believers because they didn’t want to live in a world with the Jewish people.

The British were also very important for winning world war II against the Axis.  The British also fought both  the Germans and the Japanese as well.  For most of the beginning of the war The British were the only people fighting the war.  Because of this they suffered many casualties but they still were able to pull through and stay in the war and eventually win.
