1971 Jaguar Series 3 E-type

The Jaguar Series 3 E-type is recognized due to cosmetic changes, this included -new bumpers and grille. However the track has been widened and wider tires were fitted. This necessity was added as well as flared wheel arches on the front and rear. The roadster adopted the wider 2+2 wheel base, and the 5.3 liter v-12 engine ousted the straight six at its standard power unit.

 

 

1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III

Most people would say that this would be an expensive car of it time. But the truth is it started with a base price $6,585. As far as structure on this car, it is built like its cousin the thunder bird with a front end like a front wheel drive Cadillac Eldorado. But back to its frame, it sits on the same the same 117.2 in wheel base as the thunderbird. Under the hood it’s packed with a 460 cid V-8. This happens to be one of Detroit’s largest production engines at the time. It also has a compression ratio of 10.5:1 and 365 bhp.

 

1968 Cadillac Eldorado

On this cars own with its relatively compact 102 inch wheelbase, the 1968 front- wheel drive Eldorado was announced with a base price of 6,277. It brought in 10 percent of Cadillac’s production year of 1967. There were about 20,000 of these sold with a gross sale of 17,930. It was a technological “Tour de Force” and it quickly became established as the ultimate Cadillac.

 

1968 Cadillac deVille

This Caddy was spotlighted for power. It’s all new 472cid V-8 with 375 bhp under -the hood. It was designed to make the all new government emissions standard that took effect that year. This car wasn’t as good on fuel as its predecessor, the 472 could boast as being the largest production engine offered in the industry at that time.

 

1961 Ford Thunderbird

The body style basically stayed the same from1961-63.It had a distinctive style and class. It was highlighted by pointy front fenders, small “blade” fins above the big circular taillights and the bulging body sides made of sheet medal. The engine in this car is a 352 stroke to 390 cid, though rated horsepower was unchanged. This was an extra cost on a Mercedes m-series version with three two barrel carburetors instead of a single four barrel carburetor which delivered an extra 40 bhp more than 1962 and 1963.

 

Lincoln Continental Mark V

The Lincoln Continental Mark V is a very ambitious and super luxurious. It had a smaller V-8 with 315 bhp in a faint gesture to economy. The continental Division was pretty much a separate division form all the other Lincolns.
