1948 Jaguar XK120
|
The Jaguar XK120 is legendary. It was originally built for a test for the new 3442 cc DOHC XK engine. William Lyons is noticed for having designed its body shape in less than two weeks. The car used the classic Chassis and suspension that had been developed for the proposed Mark VII saloon. It was originally introduced as an open two seater, the car was later to become both drop head and fixed head coupe forms. The cars early version was fitted with aluminum bodies but in 1950 it was superseded by a pressed steel shell. |

1954 MG TF

The T- series MG's were a hold over from an earlier age, though the late models like this 1954 had incorporated a number of more modern style. This included: faired in head lamps and smaller wheels. It was equipped with 15's instead of the 19's on the 1950 model. It had an XPAG straight four that delivered 57.5 bhp at 5500 rpm from its 1250 cc's. It was proficient to propel the 1936 pounds body at just over 80 mph. |

Colin Chapman's lotuses often often referred to as loti, began as rather Spartan Kit cars. The original Austin Special first raced in1948, the MK2 with a Ford 10 engine appeared in 1949, in 1951 the MK3 offered the Special Austin 7 engine. 1957 Jaguar XK150

Launched In 1957, the XK150's shape was noticeably different from its predecessor: the waist line was made higher, open piece screen was fitted and the radiator grille was resembled the 120. |
