Before Ryan came to Newport, Seth Cohen was nothing near popular. Seth was never recognized at his school. To his classmates, geek was an understatement. Seth was president of the Comic Book Club and the President of the Film Provisory, and the captain of the Sail Team. Luckily for Seth, Ryan moved to Newport and he didn’t have to face water polo players alone.

Seth has an off-beat personality. Seth is very sarcastic and can joke about anything in any situation. Seth always has marched to a different drummer. Even sometimes Seth talks just to make silence. With his quick wit, Seth makes any situation less tense, or maybe just a little bit weirder.

Seth has a life where everything has been handed to him. To his dad, he is a spoiled little brat. Seth has very many clothes, numerous expensive suits for cocktail parties, and a nice horse, a plastic one though, Captain Oats. Seth also got a sail boat for Chrismakuah, and uses it often, even to fled his state and sail to Oregon.

Ever since the age of eleven, Seth has always loved Summer Roberts. When he got his sail boat, he named his  boat Summer Breeze. He always used to watch Summer at lunch in elementary school when she would feed her lunch to a squirrel. Also, Seth remembered a whole poem that Summer read in front of their 4^th grade class. Eventually, Summer liked Seth, and they started going out. They are the cutest couple, on and off set.

When Ryan first got to Newport, Seth had his first human friend. Ryan and Seth are best friends. The boys talk about everything, well; mostly Seth does all the talking; including girls, family issues, girls, Newport’s gossip, and girls.

Seth Cohen is played by Adam Brody. Adam was born on December 15^th, 1979. He was born and raised in San Diego, California. He hired an acting coach in Los Angeles. Adam featured in many hit television shows and popular box-office hits movie.
