Life before Ryan, Marissa probably never understood the word drama. Marissa’s life was pure bliss. She had a life long boyfriend, got everything she could ever imagine and her family was at the head of Newport. But when Ryan came into her life, many things happened what was never even expected.

Marissa’s home life has changed drastically. First, her dad started stealing money from his clients. Always her mom cares more about what people think of her, so they got divorced. Later, Marissa’s mom married the most powerful man in Newport, Seth’s grandfather. Marissa never got along with her family, except her dad, who moved to Maui, so her home life is a little hectic.

Marissa has always been the nice girl. She gets along with basically everyone, since she is head of the school. Marissa has a lot of drama in her life, but she always finds a way of being nice about it. Marissa is stunningly beautiful and sometimes, being so pretty, gets her in trouble with guys.

Ever since the fifth grade, Marissa was always dating Luke. They were always together at parties, they went out to dinner and other stuff. But, when Ryan came into the picture, jealousy struck and the two broke up. After a short time, Ryan and Marissa got together. They have faced a lot of problems, but are still together. The two have a very strong relationship.

| Summer is Marissa’s best friend forever. They have been friends since elementary school. The two do everything together; especially they love to go shopping at South Coast Plaza. Marissa and Summer lay out, go to the beach, go on trips, etc. When the two get together with the boys, it’s obviously going to be a crazy time |

Marissa Cooper is played by the beautiful Mischa Barton. Mischa was born on January 24th, 1986. Mischa was born London and moved a lot of places because of her father’s job. Early on, Mischa started acting and has been a known, respectful actress for a long time.
