MidField
The midfield is an all
around player. They take face-offs and they also play both sides of the
field. The Midfield helps the attack out with their plays to help put a
point up on the board. But when the opponent gets the ball they switch
sides and help the defense get the ball back from them. This position
requires a lot of agility, speed and endurance.

Attack
Attacks main purpose
is to score points. They set up plays on the field and have to cooperate
with the midfielders a lot. The attack can not pass the midfield line at
any time. Unless there is a penalty can they can sub them for a middy.
Once the attack man has the ball they can ether shoot or pass to another
midfielder/attack.

Defense
The defense’s main
goal is to get the ball from the opponents attack and pass it down the
field so they can perform a play and score. They start out in a box
called the restrain box. They cannot leave the box until one of the
midfielders has possession of the ball. Then the ref calls release and
then they can move wherever they please. They have a longer pole than
all of the players on the field. They also cannot pass the midfield line
unless they call middy back in which a midfielder stays behind the
midfield line and the defense can take it down field.

Goalie
The goalies main job
in the game is to defend the goal against the opponents attack and
midfielders. He defends in front of a six by six foot goal. He stands
inside a box which is called a crease and opponents attack or midfield
cannot pass. The goalie has a bigger head so they can block any shots
coming at them easier shot easier. They also have a slightly larger
shaft than the attack and middies which also helps.
