Snoopy was created in 1950 by Charles M. Schultz.

Snoopy was originally a tall, thin beagle. Charlie Brown wasn't exactly the

same either! On October 2 1950 "Peanuts" showed up in their first newspaper.

In 1958, Mr. Schultz was awarded "cartoonist of the year" by Yale

University.

In 1960 Snoopy Changed to a rounder dog than before, and gets his bird

friend, Woodstock.

Peanuts is also awarded "Best humor Strip of the year"

In 1970 Snoopy became closer to what he is now and came out with one of his first real films, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". Charlie Brown and everyone else changed as well and will not change much after 1970.

In 1980 nothing has change since the 70's and he will always be snoopy.

Snoopy became how we know him now along with the rest of the other Peanuts,

and Mr. Schultz ended his cartoon carrier on January 3, 2000.
