Welcome to the jazz section of my webpage. Here you will see a girl named Michelle Godin doing a regular simple leap. Some common jazz leaps are regular leaps, middle leaps, zip zaps, turning leaps, and turning middle leaps. Regular simple leaps are easy to do and people learn how to do them at the age of three. The easiest way to learn how to do a regular leap is to practice jumping over something. But, while you are jumping, split your legs in the air like a split. While you are in the air, your legs should be completely straight, and your feet should be pointed. Leaps are very pretty and are usually very high.

Turns are an ideal part of dance. Here you will see three girls doing a trio and turning. The type of turn that they are doing is call fruete turns. These types of turns are for more advanced dancers. If you can not do a regular turn that I strongly do not recommend you to try this. There are different kinds of turns for different levels. Some common ones are single turns, double turns, and triple turns. Turns look very clean and neat when a whole group does it together. One thing I was taught to do when I was little was to spot something on the wall. It helps me get around cleaner and faster.

For jazz, most people wear various different clothes. If you are in a recreational jazz class they probably do not care what you wear. For bottoms you could wear pants, shorts, skirts, or caprice. And for a top you could wear anything from sweatshirts, tank tops, shirt sleeves, and long sleeves. If you are in a more stricter jazz class they probably care more what you wear. You could wear tights, leotards, and shorts. You would also have to wear you hair back in a bun. For jazz shoes you could wear black boots, black shoes, or sometimes even foot thongs.
