Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990, in Oxford, England. She has a brother named Alex. Her parents, Chris Watson and Jacqueline Durre divorced in the year 1995. After that, the word came out that auditions for the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone would be available. Emma had a passion for acting and was very interested and excited to try out. The only real experience she had was the leading roles in only her school plays and was up to the challenge. |
| The producers and directors loved her so much. She was ten when they hired her, and was eleven years old when she made her debut as Hermione. Now she plays in all the sequels as well as the first movie. She is said to be “the brightest witch of her age”, also. Shooting all the movies has kept her bust and hasn’t taken on any other projects, but has been expressing interest into furthering her film career beyond the Harry Potter realm. |

Some people complain though that she is too pretty to be playing the part, because in the books, she is said to be plain. Not pretty, and not ugly, just ordinary and kind of mean. But different people have different opinions. |

| In her spare time, Emma enjoys to play field hockey, tennis, and rounder. She has two cats named Bubbles and Domino, and she enjoys playing with them as well. She has many other interests as well as the ones that I have listed. |

An example of an accomplishment is that she has made the cover of the hit magazine, Teen Vogue when she was just fifteen. She is the youngest actress to appear on it. Some of the awards that she won are Best Female Film Star, in 2003, Leading Young Actress Feature Film for her first movie, and Total Film Magazine’s “Chile Performance of the year, in the year of 2004. She has been nominated for a lot more and won a lot more awards as well. |
