| Daniel Radcliffe was born on July 23, 1989, in Fulham, London. His parents, Alan and Marcia, didn’t have any other children, making Daniel an only child. At the age of five, Daniel expressed his desire for acting, even though his parents discouraged him greatly from it. In December of 1999, Daniel tried out for the title character in BBC’s televised version of Dickens’s Novel. He first appeared on the big screen in the theatrical film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the year 2000. it became such a large financial success, that at that time, it was the second highest grossing movie of all time. |

Daniel Radcliffe does many things in his spare time he plays the base guitar and is a huge fan of rock music. Some of his favorite bands include The Beatles, The Clash, The Libertines, and The Red Hot Chile Peppers. He has two dogs named Binka and Nugget. He runs and plays with them in his spare time too. He has a lot of different yet interesting hobbies. |

Daniel Radcliffe was nominated and won many awards. Some awards he was nominated for are the Best young actor in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2005, Best performance by a young actor in 2001, 2002, and 2004, and the MTV movie awards- best breakthrough male artist in 2001. |

Some of the awards he won are the IMDB’s Top 25 Stars of 2003, where he took 19th place, the TV Guide’s “Summer Movie Hunks” countdown in 2003 where he took 5th place, and The Screen Magazine’s “Golden Grand Prix” Awards, in 2004 where he took 5th place as well. There are many more awards that he has either been nominated for or one, also.
