“With this hand I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring I ask you to be mine.” -Victor Van Dort |

Corpse Bride is rated PG for some scary images and action, and some brief mild language. |
|
The very shy Victor Van Dort can’t get his wedding vows right. Out of frustration he runs into the woods. While practicing he gets his vows right. After he puts the ring on a stick shaped as a hand, he becomes married to the Corpse Bride instead. Victor finds himself caught between two completely different worlds. He is married to the dead but he lives in the world of the living. |
| He tries many times to get back to his world. They find themselves in a major controversy and in the end the Corpse Bride kills her killer. Victor ends up marrying the girl he originally set out to marry. They lived happily ever after. |

A goof in the movie is when the maggot first pops Emily’s eye out, it bounces away, but the following shot it’s back in her eye. |

The puppets used neither of industry standard of replaceable heads (such as in Nightmare Before Christmas) or replaceable mouths, but instead used precision clockwork heads adjusted by hidden keys. This allowed for more realistic animation. One animator even reported having recurring nightmares of adjusting his own facial expressions with keys. |
