Baseball has been introduced to many great players, but some have changed the game forever. Some of the players I think have done that are Lou Gehrig, Cy Young, Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., and Babe Ruth.

Lou Gehrig is one of the games greatest players. From his 2,130 consecutive games to his 184 RBI explosion in 1931 which holds the A.L. record. He died in 1939 from a disease ending his career with 493 home runs and .340 career batting average

Also another great player is Cy Young. If he is not the greatest pitcher in the league he is definitely one of the best. At the end of his career he has played 22 total seasons and his career record of 511 victories, 7,356 innings pitched and a 300- wins season

Cal Ripken Jr. is one of the greatest and most respected players in the game. He had 10 straight seasons with 20 or more home runs and had 100 RBIs four times. Though his legacy revolves around the 2,130 consecutive game streak by Lou Gehrig. Cal shattered that record in 1995 he made 2,131 consecutive games and his streak continued to a consecutive 2,500 games in his career.
| Another great player is Ken Griffey Jr. and also my personal favorite player. He had a 300 career home runs by age 28. He also holds 12 golden glove awards right behind the leader Roberto Clemente. He also won the A.L. MVP in 1997 with 56 season home runs and 147 RBIs. |

| Finally, Babe Ruth who in my eyes is the greatest player who ever lived. With his 714 career home runs and a booming .342 batting average. Also, in 1927 he had 60 home runs in one season which was a record, but was later broken by Mark Mguire and Barry Bonds. |
