Tigers are in the big
cat group. They are considered one of the most feared animals in the
world. Tigers are getting to become the extinct. Actually, there is
around five thousand one hundred to seven thousand five hundred left in
the world. That is why some people started to protest. This ended with
reserves being put in and laws created. They called this program Project
Tiger. Now it is illegal to kill a tiger, which was established in
seventeen seventy-three. This helped increase tiger population. Yet,
poacher kills have increased in recent years because markets in Taiwan,
Korea, China, and Southeast Asia have a demand for tiger bones and other
parts for medicinal purposes. |
