Tigers

Tigers are a carnivore, which means they hunt for their food. They eat about a hundred pounds of food a day. That is about one- fifth of their personal weight. Tigers will eat any meat- type thing. This is because they have competition for their food. Some of their favorites include water buffalo, wild pigs, and deer.
Many other large animals are on this list. Tigers can not run very long so they sneak real close to their kill before going for it. Most tigers can sneak about twenty feet before notice. Next is the most important of the whole thing.
If it messes this up it will go hungry. This is the chase. The tiger leans back and gets ready to strike. It pounces and if it misses, chases after it. The tiger has many weapons. It uses it’s razor sharp retractable claws and its long canine teeth. In fact, the tiger has the longest teeth of meat-eating animals.
When the tiger gets to it’s prey, it pounces on the animal’s back with its claws. The tiger then pulls the animal to the ground and bites the neck to slay the prey. Once it has finished feasting, it buries everything else for it’s next dreadful meal.
The tiger’s eating habits play an important role in the environment. When they eat, they control the population. If they didn’t, herbivores would eat all the plants creating a mass extinction like the dinosaurs. In conclusion, not only are tigers saving us, but they are fascinating in all.
