FullMetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa Type: Manga/Anime Genre: Action FullMetal Alchemist is based around the two Elric brothers search for the Philosopher’s Stone, a mystical substance rumored to be able to raise the dead. Edward Elric, the older brother, lost his right arm and left leg while his younger brother, Alphonse, lost his entire body when they tried to bring back their mother from the dead. Alphonse’s soul is now bonded to a suit of armor. Edward’s right arm and left leg are now mechanical limbs called “auto-mail.” The Elric brothers believe the Philosopher’s Stone may be able to restore their bodies to their original form. Every episode reveals more questions than it answers and keeps your attention. A+. 10 out of 10 stars.

DNAngel by Yukiru Sugisaki Type: Manga/Anime Genre: Fantasy/Romance DNAngel is about a boy named Daisuke Niwa, who has a “troublesome” love life. On his 14th birthday he falls in love with Risa, and then the strange DNA pasted down to him by his parents activates. And Daisuke Niwa transforms into the Phantom Thief, Dark! The only way he can cure his “condition” is to have his love returned. But every time he sees Risa he turns into Dark. To top it all of Risa is in love too, but with Dark. And Dark is in love with Riku, Risa’s twin sister, who is in love with Daisuke. Cute and Romantic. A. 9 out of 10 stars.

Digimon by Aki Yoshi Hongo Type: Manga/Anime Genre: Action/Sci-fi Digimon is about a bunch of kids who get sucked out of summer camp and into (literally) the Digital World. There they meet cute creatures called Digimon. These are their friends, but there are a lot of baddies, too. The kids, Digidestined, set out to save the Digital Word and their own. Cute storyline. A-. 8 out of 10 stars.

Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto Type: Manga/Anime Genre: Action Naruto Uzimaki is a young ninja in training. His goal is to become Hokage, a ninja leader, but the whole village shuns him for reasons they are forbidden to speak of. Years ago a nine tailed fox attacked the village and to stop it they sealed it inside a baby boy, and that boy was Naruto. Now he is trying to gain the respect of the people of the Village Hidden in the Leaves, and knows nothing of what is sealed inside of him. A+. 10 out of 10 stars.
