Chapter 2: In this chapter with the help of a few other specials John, Randy, and Chandra go into Chicago. They learned that Cathy, the one with the power to bring back life, has been captured by Maas and is being forced to bring things back from the dead. Also, Randy gets captured and John gets killed.

Chapter 3: In this chapter a special named Willie takes John’s body and frees Cathy but before she can heal John she gets shot and with her dying breath she brings him back into the living.

Chapter4: In this chapter Maas sends a missile towards a group of specials hoping to have another over flux. While John and Chandra meet up and go to meet Randy. Maas took over Randy’s mind and made him fight John. In the end John learned he could get through to Randy because they were half brothers. As the missile goes towards the specials one gives up his life for the rest and explodes it in the space.

Chapter 5: In this chapter Matt and Jason fly to Chicago and we learn that Maas was controlling Jason and making him kill specials. Jason and Matt fight until Jason gets free of Maas’s control when she dies. Matt then goes to save some people from a building collapsing and gets crushed by the rubble. John flies to a hospital.

Chapter 6: In this chapter we learn that Matt went into a coma and Dr. Wells dies. All the surviving specials go to his funeral and there and they decide that they are going to use their powers to help change the world instead of destroying and hurting.

Chapter 7: in this chapter Jason resigns as Patriot and decides to use his powers to take away nuclear missiles from every country.

Chapter 8: In this chapter John goes to Israel with a special with telekinesis. She brings fertile sand up with her mind and dies trying but she does it. This stopped the feuds in and over Israel.
