Mary-Kate, the younger sister of  Ashley, was born only two minutes after her fraternal twin sister on June 13, 1987.  Her parents are David and Jarnette Olsen.  She was born and raised in Sherman Oaks, California.  She spent a lot of time with Ashley, but since she was on the set of Full House most of the time as a child, she didn't see much of the rest of her family except her mom.
		She and her sister had an anything but ordinary childhood.  Once full House ended they jumped into acting and their company Dualstar.  They even came out with an album, Brother for Sale, and a movie, To Grandmothers House We Go, before the last season of Full House even ended!  They were about the age of nine and ready to start on a series of videos called Your Invited.
	Mary-Kate and Ashley were now household names but did not quite make it into Hollywood, yet. She was on the verge of becoming a teen when her and her sister came out with more mini series like Two of a Kind and So Little Time.
		Mary-Kate has been on a rollercoaster of emotions and health for the past couple of years. She started dating Stavros Niarchos, a Greek shipping heir, a few years ago but have recently broke up due to Paris Hilton and Stavros's relationship.  Also, in 2004, Mary-Kate started a battle with anorexia.  Since then she has been to rehab for a six-week program and has gained 15pounds and is proud.
	She is now attending New York University, but is reportedly taking some time off for personal reasons.  Her representative says that she is just taking time off to focus more on her responsibilities at Dualstar Entertainment Company.  She is also sharing an apartment with her sister in New York.
